Francis W. Perkins was born on 25 May 1840.[1]

He married Laura Simonds on 29 Nov 1862 in Manhattan, New York, New York, United States.[2]

“Children b. in Fitzwilliam, N. H. (Simonds):...2.Laura*,b. 24Oct.1842; m.(1), in New York City, 29 Nov. 1862, Francis William Perkins, b. in Boston, Mass., 25 May 1840, son of Henry Griswold and Louisa (Dutton) Perkins. He graduated at Dartmouth College in 1861, enlisted in the Union army 11 May 1861, served as quartermaster until mustered out in Sept. 1865, and after the war engaged in a shipping business in New Orleans, La., until his death, 6 Mar. 1871.”[3]

He arrived as a “merchant”in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1871[4] and died of "Violence" on 6 Mar 1871 in New Orleans.[5]
