Biography
Parsons Persse, the son of Henry Stratford Persse and Anne Sadleir was born about 1804. Year of birth inferred from age at death.
He died on 8 August 1863 at his residence, Castleturvin, county Galway, Ireland.
FASHION AND VARIETIES.
With sincere feelings of regret we have to announce the demise of Parsons Persse, Esq., J.P., which melancholy event took place at four o’ clock, at his residence, Castleturvin. The deceased gentleman was in the 60th year of his age. He belonged to a family distinguished for their worth and high position in this country. He was brother of our esteemed fellow-citizen, Thomas M. Persse, Esq., J.P., Mount Vernon, and uncle of Lady Clanmorris, and of Burton R. P. Persse, Esq., Moyode Castle, ex High Sheriff county Galway. His lamented death will place the leading families of our county in mourning.—Galway Vindicator.[1]
