A. Dennis Peter, S3, of N8938 Rhine Road, Elkhart Lake, died unexpectedly, Wednesday morning, Jan. 7, 1998 at Valley View Medical Center, Plymouth.
He was born Nov. 20, 1944 in Sheboygan, a son of Marie Menzer Peter and the late Arno Peter. He was 1962 graduate of Kiel High School.
On June 3, 1967, he married Judith Casper at St, Gregory's Catholic Church, St. Naizanz. For the past 13 years, Dennis had worked for the Sheboygan County Highway Department. Prior to being employed (or the county, he worked for E&S Trucking and Tri-County Co-op. He was an avid fisherman and camper. He enjoyed spending time with his grandkids.
He was a member of St. Peter United Church of Christ, Town of Rhine; a past church council member, Louis Corners Snowbirds, a former Kiel Lions Club member, a Swine Project leader for the Sheboygan County Fair for ten years and a board member of Tri-County Co-op.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; four children, Keith Peter, Elkhart Lake; Linda (Daniel) Schmitt, Elkhart Lake; Connie (Michael) Bein, Plymouth; Bobby Peter, at home; his mother, Marie, Sheboygan and proud grandfather of Devyn and Logan Peter, Cody Schmitt and Tyler and Amber Bein. He is further survived by One brother, Le Dale (Donna) Peter, Germantown; two sisters, Judith Lutzke, Sheboygan; Barbara (Ken) Felsecker, Milwaukee; mother-in-law, Ruth Casper, Kiel; and in-laws, Donald and Donna Casper, New Holstein; Wayne and Kathy Casper, Kiel; Betty Casper, Kiel: Rachel and Gary Becker, Elkhart Lake; Kathy and Paul Meyer, St. Nazianz; Jane and Ronald Binversie, Cleveland; Mary and Dennis Dedering, Kiel; Tom Casper, Sheboygan; Paul and Sue Casper, Kiel; Ann and Greg Behr, Kiel; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers-in-law. Kenny Casper, Joseph . Casper and Marvin Lutzke and his father-in-law, Sylvester Casper.
Funeral services will be held at St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Town of Rhine at noon, Saturday, Jan. 10, 1998 with the Rev. Philip C. Meili officiating. - Burial will be in the church cemetery. Friends may call at the Meisel-witz-Vollstedt Funeral Home, Kiel, from 4 to 8 p.m., Friday, Jan. 9, 1998 and at the church, on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service. A memorial has been established in his name. [2]
