Biography
Marcia was born about 1788. She is the daughter of Oliver Pettibone and Martha Paine.
Marcia Pettibone was not yet seventeen when she married Samuel Thomas in Kingston, Pennsylvania. Samuel was twenty. Their first child was born less than a year later, and within the next fourteen years Marcia and Samuel had seven more children. No other personal information about Marcia is in the record. Samuel Thomas, however, led a life full of diverse activities which afford a glimpse of the quality of their life together. (See Samuel Thomas-6303 for more on his life.)
She passed away in 1865. [1]
