- He served as an Ensign of the 2nd Virginia Regiment in the Revolutionary War;
- He married Catey Bronaugh , daughter of Thomas Bronaugh and Elizabeth Newton, 26 May 1783 bond in Fauquier Co., VA;
- Catey Bronaugh b. on 25 Feb 1765; d. on 8 Jan 1822.
- Ens. Cuthbert Harrison Peyton and Catey Bronaugh had a son:
