Biography
Johann Philips was born about September 1727 in Graach an der Mosel as son of Hubert Philips and Maria Eva Geutter.[1]
In 1754 Johann married Maria Margarethe Geller in Graach an der Mosel.[2] The couple had the following children:
- Helena Margaretha Philips (-). oo Petrus Andreas Bernard.[3]
- Maria Eva (Rosa) Philips (1757-). oo Johann Beucher.[4]
- Rosa Philips (1760-1813). ooJacob Oberkirch.[5]
- Johann Adam Philips (1766-).
Johann died on February 5th, 1785 in Graach an der Mosel. [6]
Research Notes
Is Helena really a child of this couple ? Helenas grandfather is given as Christoph Geller at her marriage record[3]. If so the Baptism of Helenas mother might not be the correct one, in the marriage record her father is Joes Geller. To be further researched.
