William Phillips was born about 1695 in Easton, Massachusetts. [citation needed]
WIlliam Phillips and Hannah Pryer were married in Bridgewater, Massachusetts on Jan 16, 1718. [1].
Deacon William and son William Jr. both died in 1776, recorded on same page in NEHGS article on Gad Hitchcock's records, and original source in Mass Vital Records. Deacon William Phillip's Sr. died 31 July 1776; William Jr. died Feb 1776. [2]
Probate
William Phillips of Pembroke, yeoman died intestate and on 2 September 1776, Richard Phillips was granted the administration of his estate.[3]
His inventory was taken on 2 September 1776 in Pembroke. His estate was represented as insolvent. A list of claims and creditors was recorded. [4]
In 1780, an account of his estate by Richard Philips of Pembroke was recorded which included, debts received, debts paid, doctor, allowance for the widow, and administration fees.[5]
