Died at 37 years of age.

Probate

James Peckins of Middleborough, yeoman died intestate and on 11 October 1791, his widow Mary and John Pickens were granted the administration of his estate.[1]

His inventory was taken on 10 August 1791 in Middleborough.[2]

In 1794, Herman Pierce of Middleborough was appointed guardian of his children, Henry Peckins, Ezra Peckins, Catherine Peckins, and James Peckins, all under the age of 14 years.[3]

In 1795, an account of his estate was recorded which included occupation and use of the house at Taunton, debts paid, funeral charges, gravestones, nursing, provisions spent on the family and livestock, necessaries to the widow, and administration fees.[4]
