Research Note: This profile had a last name at birth of Pile. There were no Ann Piles registered in Gloucestershire between 1840 and 1845 but 5 Ann Pikes (only 1 in the district covering Lechlade) . All other official documents also have Ann Pike including her marriage record and birth registration of her daughter Jane.

Ann Pike was born in Lechlade in 1842. Her birth was registered in Faringdon, the district covering Lechlade and no mother's maiden name was given, indicating she was illegitimate. ^[1]
