Biography

Matthew Crew was born in 1843. His birth was registered in Cirencester and his mother's maiden name was Smith. [1]

In 1851 he was living with his parents William and Elizabeth in Fairford, along with 4 brothers. [2]

On 22 October 1864 Matthew married Ann Pike at Fairford. He was a labourer. Both parties lived in Fairford. John Crew and Emma Pike were witnesses. [3]

In 1871 Matthew and Ann were living in Fairford, Gloucestershire with 3 children. [4]

by 1881 Matthew and Ann had moved to Brotton, Yorkshire and lived in Railway Terrace with 6 children. Matthew was a labourer. [5]

Matthew died aged 41 in 1884. His death was registered in Guisborough, North Riding, Yorkshire. [6]
