In 1920, the newlyweds lived on Jefferson Street in Paducah, McCracken, Kentucky.[6] (Note, Paducah, Kentucky and Metropolis, Illinois are border towns.) In the 1930 Census, Lila, husband Elmer and their three children were recorded living in Ashland, Boyd, Kentucky.[7] By or before 1935, they moved to Staffordsville, West Van Lear, Johnson, Kentucky. In the 1940 Census, the couple and their three children were recorded living in that community.[8]
Lila, age 97, died 9 June 1996 at the Mountain Manor Nursing home in Paintsville, Johnson, Kentucky and was buried 12 June 1996 at Hall-Davis Cemetery, Johnson County, Kentucky.[1][9][10]
