Biography
Sherwood Pile was born on June 20, 1844 in Fentress, Tennessee, United States, son of Conrad J. Pyle (1814–1863) and Susannah Delk (~1816–~1900).

Sherwood (31) married Seliney Margaret Crabtree (1874), daughter of Issac Thomas Crabtree and Sarah Ann Crabtree Crabtree Crabtree in December, 1875. Their children were:
