Biography

Delilah (Pile) Crockett was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Delilah Lucinda Pile was born in 1790 in Overton, daughter of Conrad P. Pile (1766–1849) and Mary Catherine Rich (1769–1843).

Delilah (19) married William Crockett (27) (born in 1782 in Sullivan, Tennessee; son of Robert M Crockett and Margaret (Reyburn) Crockett) on August 20, 1810 in Overton.

In the 1840 census Delila was in Fentress, Tennessee.[1]

In the 1850 census Selila (age 60) was in Fentress, Tennessee, United States.[2] Selila Crockett 60, John Crockett 28, Coonrod Crockett 25, Wm Crockett 23, Joseph Crockett 19, Jane Crockett 21.

In the 1860 census Dililah (age 70) was at 3rd District, Fentress, Tennessee, United States.[3] Conrad P Crockett 35, Mary Crockett 28, William R Crockett 8, James Crockett 6, Sidna Crockett 5, Malvina Crockett 5, Calvin Crockett 2, Dililah Crockett 70.

Delilah died on August 20, 1860 in Fentress, Tennessee, United States, aged 69.[4]
