Limus Pinckney is a part of US Black heritage.

Limus was born about 1835 in South Carolina. He was an African American man who was born into enslavement and was freed after the U.S. Civil War. He was a farmer in Abbeville County, South Carolian.

He married, first, Martha Moragne, and they had a large family.

After her passing (about 1892?), Limus married a woman named Frances [Waller?], and raised a second family.

He passed away after 1910.

Research Notes

As Limus's wife, Martha Moragne (also spelt Maraney and Moraney) was born in Abbeville, South Carolina, Limus may also have been born in that county.
