Harry was born in New Zealand[1] in 1877. His parents were James Thomas Pink and Elizabeth Pearce.[2]
He attended Waianiwa primary school from 1882.[3]
In 1910 he married Jane McInerney.[4].
He used the surname Pearce for electoral rolls after 1906. Their children also used that name at school and forthwith, although their birth records are in the name of Pink.
As of 1946 he had reverted to using the name Pink, in electoral rolls and on his gravestone anyway.
He passed away 9 Nov 1950 age 72[5] and is buried at Wallacetown New Cemetery, plot 109 Block I and 132, the same plot as his father.[6]
There was another "Harry" Pink, son of Mr. J. Pink, based in Northland, I believe this story refers to the Auckland Harry. There was also a Henry John Pink of Otago or Balclutha.
