parents, birth date and location, spouse and marriage date, death date, and "resided at Boothbay Harbor, Me. "'He was probably the oldest resident in Boothbay, Me., at the time of his death; he had attained the ripe old age of 88 years. Save his hearing, all his faculties were unimpaired until the very last. He had never been seriously sick until his last illness. He had been living with his daughter, Mrs. Henry Dolloff, for the last six years, where he received the most faithful care. In early manhood he followed the sea; later he settled on the farm known as 'Oak Grove,' on the Wis- cassett Road. He had always enjoyed the confidence and esteem of his neighbors, and they bestowed on him all the honors at their disposal from time to time. He was select- man of Boothbay for eight years; was in the Maine Legis- lature, 1861 and 1862. He and his wife were members of the Free Will Baptist Church at Boothbay, Me. 'His end was peace and his works will follow him.'“ in Sinnett [5]
