US Black Heritage Project
William Piper is a part of US Black heritage.

William was born between 1855[1]-1857[2] in Massachusetts.

He was the son of Eliza and Civil War veteran Charles H. Piper of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry, the first regiment in the United States made up entirely of enlisted men of color.
