Charity Pitman was born in 1773. She married Ithamar Gaddy.
Posted by Jo Church Dickerson, June 2017. "Charity (Pitman) Gaddy, wife of Ithamar Gaddy, was born 25 October 1773, died in March 1856. She was the daughter of Newit and Sarah (unknown) Pitman.
Charity's marker fell years ago, was repaired and encased in concrete and placed face up on the ground over the grave. Her inscription is still perfectly legible - much clearer than those of her husband Ithamar, son Hardy and his wife, Winnefred, for Charity's marker is of harder stone.
The photo of the partial modern memorial is the section with Charity (Pitman) Gaddy's inscription on the large Gaddy Family Memorial Marker. See her husband Ithamar's memorial page and the main cemetery page for details. Her inscription on the marker is just to the right of Ithamar's. Their children, as shown on the large family marker, are linked below, and can be found on the main cemetery page."
