Biography

Joannes Madison Pitre was born on February 10, 1859 in Opelousas, St. Landry Parish, Louisiana, United States, son of Dalicourt Joseph Pitre (1829–<1872) and Hermina Pitre (1835–1865).[1][2]

Madison (19) married Ernestine L. Fontenot (17) (born on February 10, 1861 in Opelousas, Louisiana; daughter of G. Fontenot) on January 30, 1879 in Ville Platte, Louisiana.[2]

Their known children were:

In 1900, Madison (41) Pitre was living in St. Landry Parish, Louisiana.[3]

Madison died about 1905 in Opelousas, aged about 45.
