Biography

George Pitt, 2nd Baron Rivers (1751-1828) was the son of George Pitt, 1st Baron Rivers & his wife Penelope née Atkins.
He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Rivers, of Strathfieldsaye. Hants, [G.B., 1776] on 7 May 1803.
He succeeded to the title of 2nd Baron Rivers of Sudeley Castle, Gloucestershire [U.K., 1802] on 7 May 1803,
He was associated with Miss Patience Dean (born 1749) who was the mother of his illegitimate son George Dean AKA George Dean-Pitt.
He died unmarried, aged 76, on 20 July 1828 in Grosvenor Place, London.
