Biography

Chauncey Place was born on May 23, 1829 in Delaware County, Ohio, United States, son of Thomas Place (1791–~1869) and Phebe Campbell (1791–1867).

Channey married Laura Clark on 6 April 1851 in Delaware, Delaware, Ohio, United States.^[1] They had five children (needs confirming):

Chauncey's wife Laura died October 13, 1884 in Marshall, Indiana, United States.

Chauncey (60) married Harriet Lemert (47) (born on May 30, 1842 in Polk Township, Marshall; daughter of Lloyd Lemert and Rebecca (Cessna) Lemert) on June 14, 1889 in Marshall.^[4]

In 1900, Chauncey (71) was living in Polk Township, Marshall, Indiana. ^[5]
