In April 1874 at the age of 12, Emily travelled with her family, from London, England on the ship 'St James' to Maryborough, Queensland on Jul 1874. They then moved onto Sydney, New south Wales.[2]
Emily married Thomas John Ball (1857 - 1938) on 23 Jan 1886 in Redfern, New South Wales, Australia. [3]
Emily died on 23 Feb 1921 in Arncliffe, New South Wales aged 59. [4]
She is buried in Woronora Memorial Park, Sutherland, New South Wales.[5]
