Jane Place was born about 22 Feb 1842 in Missouri, United States, daughter of James Cutter Place (~1817–1912) and Susan Culver (~1818–1892).[1]

In 1850, Jane (8) was living in Allen, Ohio with her parents, James (31) and Susan (30); her daughter, Mary Culver (15); her brother, Isaac (6); and Johnston Place (2). [2]
In 1860, Jane (18) was living with J Place (43), S Place (43), D Place (6), and Jas Place (2). [3]
Jane (24) married William Riley Coon (23) (born on 27 Jan 1843 in Shawnee Township, Allen, Ohio) on 8 Nov 1866 in Allen County.[4] Their known children were:
In 1870, Jane (28) was living with her husband, William (28); their children, Leonara (3), and Mary E Winans (7); and Salina A Coon (6/12ths), and Herman Culver (8). [5]
In 1880, Jane (38) was living in Allen, Ohio with her husband, William (37); and their children, Leonora (12), Anna (10), Jane (8), William (4), Elmer (2), and Alpheus (8/12ths). [6]
Jane passed away on 20 Mar 1886 in Amanda Township, Allen County, Ohio, aged 44. She was buried in Marietta National Cemetery, Marietta, Cobb County, Georgia.[1] [7]
