Leonard was born about 1815. He was the son of Daniel Place and Sally Sargent. He passed away in 1877.
When Leonard Place was born in 1815 in Kittery, Maine, his father, Daniel, was 31 and his mother, Sarah, was 37. He had two sons and three daughters with Ann Elizabeth Spinney between 1850 and 1870. He died on January 12, 1877, in Brentwood, New Hampshire, at the age of 62, and was buried in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
He served in the US Navy aboard the USS Constellation.
