Biography

Edward Plowman was born in Hampshire, England.

Birth and Parentage

Edward was born in Beaulieu, Hampshire in about December 1843. He was the eldest son of Robert Plowman and Emma Cheyney. ^[1]

Life

Application for Letters Patent No. 17,092^[2]

He invented a 'revolving weather-protecting game and poultry rearing coop' for which he made an application for Letters Patent (No. 17,092), on 12 December 1887,^[3]the notice also appearing in the 1887 July-December issue of the Engineer.^[2]

At the age of 30, he was single and still living with his sisters, Maria and Leonora and their parents on their farm at Kingsdown, Kent.
