Edward Poe, the son of Simon Poe, was baptized at the Church of St Mary in Nottingham on 17 April 1632.[1]
He is perhaps the Edward Poe who married Mary ____ (surname unknown) and baptized in the same church a little over 20 years later:
Sarah bap. 11 July 1654
Samuel bap. 16 June 1659
No further record of Edward has been found. Son Samuel has been proposed as the progenitor of a large Poe family in Virginia.
