William Pollard was born about 1611, probably at England, based on stating his age at 62 years when he testified at the Court Session on July 21, 1673. His birth and parentage remain unknown.
He married Anne (maiden name has never been substantiated) probably at Boston, MA about 1643 based on the birth of their first child. They resided where they raised a large family. Their children: John, Samuel, Hannah, William, Ann, Elizabeth, Joseph, Sarah, Benjamin, Ann, Jonathan, and David.
William ran an ordinary in Boston which his wife Anne continued after his death.
He died in 1686 and is buried at Granary Burying Ground.
