Biography

The Latin word Parmenter, means tailor. It is possible that when the Roman,s defeated the Gaul's, in the France area, a Parmenter stayed and the family Parmentier was started in France. Also, a Parmentier is said to have introduced the potato to the french people after sailing to and from Peru where the potato is said to have originated. When in France ask your waiter for a Omelette Parmentier.

My Great Grand fathers name was Thomas Milo Polmanteer married my Great grand mother Iretha Cook and together had my grandmother Eva Mae Polmanteer. As far as I was told all were from Michigan.Could they be any relative of yours?
