Research Notes
Two other men named Joseph Pond lived at Wrentham and married women named Mary.
One of them is this man's son Joseph who was born 8 Dec 1743, married Newland on 19 Feb 1767. They were the parents of four sons: Elian (1767), Oliver (1769), Darius (1771) and Joseph (1773). He died a month before the birth of his youngest son, on 21 Nov 1773.
The other Joseph married Mary Morse on 8 Nov 1759 and was the father of 8 children recorded in Wrentham: Joanna (1760), Eleonai (1762), Zebulon (1764-1764), Zebulon (1765), Bernard (1767-1823), Deidamia (1767), Alson (1771-1775), and Jacob (1773-1775). He died in 1804 aged 71 and was the son of Jacob and Abigail.
