This Pool line connects to one of the first Pool's in America -- David Poule Poole, born in about 1585 in Languedoc France, fled to England during the religious wars ( he was a Huguenot), and then immigrated to Va in about 1620 as part of a small group of French wine masters sent to try to develop a wine industry in the American colonies.
