Biography

Alexander Livingstone was born 5 Dec 1848 in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.

In 1850, Alex Poor was 1 year old and living with his parents in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^[1]

In 1860, Alexander Poor age 11 was living with his parents and four siblings in 11th Ward Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts.^[2]

On 3 May 1874 Alexander was 25 years old when he married Calista A. Gale, age 24, in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts^[3][4] The announcement in Boston Daily Globe read:

POOR-GALE - In this city, 3d inst., by the Rev. W. P. Tilden, Mr. Alexander Poor, Jr., and Miss Calista A. Gale, both of Boston.^[5]

In 1880, Alex L Poor, age 31 was living in Boston, Suffolk County, Massachusetts, where he was working as a paperhanger.^[6]

In 1900, he was living in Precinct 5 Boston city Ward 20, Suffolk County, Massachusetts with his wife and their seven children.^[7]

On 12 May 1910, Alexander T Poor was 61 and living in a rented home located in Milton, Norfolk County, Massachusetts, with his wife and four of their children. He was working as a paperhanger^[8]

In 1920, was living in a rented home located in Somerville, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, with his wife, their son, one widowed daughter and two grandchildren.^[9]

On 14 February 1921 he died in Dorchester, Suffolk County, Massachusetts. He was buried in Jamaica Plain, Suffolk County, Massachusetts at the Forest Hills Cemetery and Crematory.^[10]
