Biography

Barbara Poss was born about 1866 in Brantford, Brant, Canada West, daughter of David Poss (~1821–1894) and Anna Young (~1820–1907).[1]

In 1871, Barbara (age 5) was living with her father David (age 50, farmer), mother Ann (age 50), and six siblings: Elizabeth (21), David (19, farmer), Robert (16, farmer), Catherine (14), George (12) and Achsah (8), in Onondaga, Brant, Ontario, Canada. Their faith was W. Methodist.[1]

In 1881, Barbara Prso (Poss, age 15, single) was living with her father David (60), Annie (61), and sibings: Robert (27), Achreh (18), and granddaughter Sarah (age 5), in Onondaga, Brant, Ontario, Canada. [2]

Barbara married John Brown Wintermute. They had no known children.

In 1891, Barbara Wintemute (age 25) was living with her husband John (age 30, boilermaker), in St Thomas, Elgin East, Ontario, Canada. They were of Methodist faith.[3]

In 1901, Barnard (Barbara, age 35), was living in household of John Wintemute (age 40, boilermaker) in Elgin, Ontario. They were of Methodist faith.[4]

In the 1921 census Barbara (age 55) was living with her husband John Wintermute (age 60, boilermaker/railway) at 76 St. Catherine, in St. Thomas (City), Elgin West, Ontario, Canada.[5]

In 1931, Barbara M Wintemute (65), was a wife, Home Maker, in the household of John B Wintemute (70) in St. Thomas, Elgin, Ontario, Canada. [6]

Barbara's husband John died in 1932 in St. Thomas.

Barbara may have died about May 8, 1942 in Brantford, Canada, aged about 75.[7]
