Meta W. Possehn was born on Mar. 5, 1882 to August Possehn and Emilie Stenzel.^[1]

She married Charles Gustav Graul, son of Ernst Graul and Johanna Beland, on Mar. 17, 1903 in Ionia, Michigan.^[2]

Matie Graul died on Jan. 19, 1966 in Ionia, Michigan.^[3]

3. ↑ Newspaper Obituary: Ionia Sentinel - Standard, Jan. 20, 1966; Mrs. Matie W. Graul, 83, Berlin Township resident, died Wednesday evening at Ionia Manor where she had been a patient the past four and a half months. She was born in Orange township March 5, 1882, daughter of August and Amelia Possehn. March 17, 1903, she was married in Ionia to Carl G. Graul who died in 1964. They had lived in Minnesota following their marriage and later returned to Ionia county. Mrs. Graul was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Keith Guy of Portland and Mrs. Chester Kammerer of Hugo, Minn. two sons, Harry Graul of Muir and Arthur of Lake Odessa; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Clarence Possehn of Saranac; and three sisters, Mrs. Marvel Church of Saranac, Mrs. Louise Schroeder of Pontiac and Mrs. Lynn Townsend of Ionia. The body will be at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until Saturday noon when it will be taken to St. John Lutheran Church where service will be at Balcom Cemetery. A memorial fund for St. John Lutheran Church has been established in her memory. Contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.
