Dr. Charles Jackson Potter was born on 16 Jul 1908 in Greenfield, Dade, Missouri, United States, son of Henry Arthur Potter (1859–1938) and Effie May (Evans) Potter (1882–1962).

Jackson had a brother, George Potter (1911–1999).

Jackson died on 10 Jun 1990 in Indiana, Indiana, Pennsylvania, United States, aged 81. He was buried in Greenwood Cemetery, Indiana, Indiana County, Pennsylvania.^{[1] [2]}
