MASHES HAND
George Powers, a member of the section gang on the MB &E interurban linethrough this city, had two fingers of his right hand painfully mangled by a falling rail while at work at Bluffton Thursday afternoon.The injured man immediately returned to his home in this city, where the injured member was properly dressed. George and Mary may have had other children whom died young. He was a Station Engineer on the railroad andlater a painter. He lived in Warren, Indiana and Fairmount, Indiana andpossibly Huntington, Indiana between 1880 and 1900. In 1911 he and his family moved from Warren to 1126 N Main St, Fairmount, Indiana.

The funeral of George W Powers, 81, whose death occured last Thursday night at the home of his son, Oscar Powers, 401 S Penn St, was held at two Monday afternoon at the residence with Rev. J. Frank Harbison officiating. Burial was in Park Cemetary. Mr. Powers had been a resident of Fairmount for about 25 years, having moved here from Warren with his family.
