Biography
Mary Poynor was born on 16 March 1868 in Forestburg, Montague County, Texas. She was the daughter of David Poynor and Josephine (Singletary) Poynor. The 1880 census[1] shows Mary living with her family in Montague County, Texas.

On 30 Aug 1888 Mary married Asbury Morris there in Forestburg. Between 1889 and 1915 Mary gave birth to their eleven children. The 1910 census[2] shows Mary raising her family in Graham, Carter, Oklahoma where Asberry runs the farm and the older kids are working on the farm as well.
