Abbie was born in 1845, the daughter of Austin and Fidilla Pratt.

When Abbie was 21 she married firstly Merritt A. Towne (son of Hiram and Betsey Towne) on 18 March 1867 in Wales, Hampen, Massachusetts. He was a 28 year old farmer. They had a son; Austin.

She married secondly Minor G. Needham on August 11, 1876. They had a daughter; Fayett.

She passed away in 1915 at the age of 70. Cause of Death: Paralysis.
