Biography

John was born in Bradford in 1888, the youngest of ten children born to James Price and Ann FitzSimons. He, sadly, lost his mother before his second birthday. His father raised him and his siblings at Duncan Street in Little Horton.

John joined the army as a young man. In the 1911 census, he can be seen at Salamanca Barracks on the Wellington Lines in Aldershot, Surrey. John was a Private with the royal field artillery, East Riding Regiment.

On 9 August 1915, John was killed in action in France at the age of 27.
