When Charles Frances Prine was born in October 1853 in Marion, Mississippi, his father, Daniel, was 27 and his mother, Alavon, was 25. He married Margaret Louise Robbins on December 31, 1879, in his hometown. They had 12 children in 30 years. He died on May 5, 1953, in Shreveport, Louisiana, at the age of 99.
