PROVANCE, T. SPENCER, SR.—Age 85 years, of the Coolspring Hopwood Road, died Monday, October 10, 1966, following a lingering illness. He was predeceased by his wife, Jessie Olive Provance, Saturday, October 8, 1966. He was the son of the late T. Spencer and Sarah Bowman Provance. He was a retired Contractor. Surviving are four sons, T. Spencer Provance, Jr., Harold L. Provance, Lawrence W. Provance, and Allen J. Provance, all of Hopwood; two brothers, Ernest B. Provance, Indian Head, Pa., and Robert Provance, Beaver Falls, Pa.; four sisters, Mrs. Alma Leib, Hopwood, Mrs. Lydia Kurtz, Detroit, Mich., Mrs. Sarah King, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Mrs. Rachael Walls, San Diego, Calif. Friends are being received in the Jerome W. Shell Funeral Home, 318 Morgantown St., where funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. Rev. H. L. Davis, of the Peoples United Church, will officiate. Interment will follow in the Ross cemetery, Hopwood.^[1]
