Charles James Pyke, son of Joseph Pyke (Farmer) and Elizabeth Inness/McInnes, was born on 28 Jun 1860 at Glamorgan, Tasmania. [1]
Charles James Pyke (Bachelor, age 30, Labourer) married Maggie Wallace (Spinster, age 20) on 5 Nov 1890 at the Proprietary Church, Lisdillon, Glamorgan, Tasmania. [2]
Charles died in 1929, aged 69. His wife, Maggie placed a memorial notice in The Mercury (Hobart, Tas. : 1860 - 1954) Tue 17 Nov 1953 Page 18 Family Notices: [3]
- PYKE.-In loving memory of my dear husband, Charles James Pyke, died February 8, 1929; my son, Charles James Pyke, passed away April 18, 1952; and my son, Martin Henry Pyke, passed away November 17, 1952.
