John Pyke was born in Van Diemen's Land (1826-1856)

John Pyke (age 24, Constable) married Christina Frederica Wagner (Spinster, age 28) on 23 Mar 1869 at the Parish Church, Swansea, in the district of Glamorgan, Tasmania. [1]
John died in 1918, and was buried at the Bicheno General Cemetery, Bicheno, Tasmania, Australia. [2] His gravestone reads:
