She was the wife of former slave and American Revolutionary War soldier Cuff Ashport, and the great-grandmother of Civil War veteran Lemuel A. Ashport of the all-black 54th Massachusetts regiment.
She passed away about 1842 and is buried at First Cemetery in Bridgewater, Massachusetts.
