James Patrick Quinn was born on 4 Mar 1908 in Newhouse, Beaver, Utah, United States, son of James Patrick Quinn (1872 - 1929) and Zadieth Viola (Vaughan) Quinn (1880 - 1948).
His siblings were:
James married Alice Elizabeth Fox (1916 - 1991) on 23 Jul 1935 in Tooele, Utah. Their children were:
James died on 25 Sep 1994 in Salt Lake, Utah aged 86. He is buried in Tooele City Cemetery, Tooele.
James was born, 1908, in Newhome, Beaver, Utah.[1] He had 7 siblings. His father, James, was 36[2] and his mother, Zadieth, was 28 at his birth.[3] His father was the superintendent at the Queen Ann mine .

In 1910 at age 2, he lived with his parents in Midas, Elko, Nevada with his 3 siblings.[4] His father was the superintendent with the Ely Consolidates Cooper company. His father take charge of two properties at Gold Circle.

In 1912 at age 4, family moved to Ruth, Nevada. Followed by a move to Dry Canyon, above Stockton Ut, then near Stockton lake.[5]
In 1914 at age 6, family moved to Gold Circle, Nevada. The town was made up of tents and wood houses. They lived in a wood house with 3 bed rooms and no running water and little furnishings.[6] His father takes charge of two properties at Gold Circle.

His father was hurt in a mining accident. Harder times fall upon the Quinn's the accident left James unable to work for 2 1/2 years. [7]
In 1918 at age 10, family moved back to Stockton. Their new home had running water and electricity.[8]
In 1920 at age 12, he lived with his parents in Stockton, Tooele, Utah with his 4 siblings.[9]
In 1921 at age 13, the Quinn's moved into a 2 story house. His mother would later use it as a boarding house. James would continue to own the house and rent it out. In the mid 1980s when I was a little boy, helped my grandpa dig up the septic tank. I was to little to be much help.[10]
In 1923 at age 15, he bailed hay at local a local farm. The money helped the family, has his father was very sick.[11]
In 1925 at age 17, he started work for Bauer mine until he was temporally laid off in 1928 and then he went to Idaho and picked/dug potatoes. He would continue to work for Bauer for 33 years.[12]
In 1929 when he was 21, his father was 58, his father past away.[13] His father had miners consumption and tuberculosis which caused his death. His uncle John and aunt Mary came to Utah upon his death. They left early because his father refused to renew his Catholic vows before his death. This was very upsetting for John and Mary being Catholic.[14] Zadieth started boarding people in her house for a living.[15]
In 1930 at age 22, he lived with his mother in Stockton, Tooele, Utah with his 3 siblings.[16] Zadieth opened Stockton Cafe, because it was the great depression it last only six weeks.[17]
In 1935. James maried Alice when he was 27, while she was, 19, in Tooele, Utah. They had 8 children together during their mariage.[18]
In 1940, he lived with his wife, Alice, in Stockton, Tooele, Utah with their 3 children. He worked as a miner at a query mine.[19]
In the 1940s James operated a dance hall called the Rose Bowl in Stockton.[20]
In 1948 when he was 41, his mother was 77, his mother past away.[21] After sell tickets at the door of the Rose Bowl, Zadieth went home and suffered a heart attack. She called her daughter and they rushed to the hospital, but she died on the way.[22]
In 1950, he lived with his wife, Alice, in Stockton, Tooele, Utah with their 6 children.[23]
In 1955, he lived with his wife, Alice, in Stockton, Tooele, Utah with their 8 children.[24]
In 1958 at age 50, he retired from Bauer and started working at Dougway Proving Grounds. He would retire from Dougway as a painter after 14 years. I remember my mom telling me stories of him going in to the desert and looking for dead animals after weapon tests, so he did more than paint.[25] His wife, Alice, past away at age 74. [26] He past away at age 87.[27]
