Francisco Quintero was born in Linares, Nuevo León, Mexico on 19 March 1880 to Felix Quintero and Matilde Moreno. He married Juana Mireles on 19 January 1905 in Linares. They had 2 known children. His wife died of typhoid fever in 1914.[1] It is unclear when he emigrated from Mexico, but he married Francisca Rojas in Hidalgo County, Texas in 1919.[2] They had 9 children and settled in Pharr, Texas. Francisco died unexpectedly of coronary thrombosis in Milan, Tennessee in 1948; presumably, he had been there for agricultural work.[3] He is buried at Guadalupe Cemetery in Pharr, Texas.[4]
