Margaret Radcliffe was the daughter of Sir Richard Radcliffe of Astley and Winmarleight, Lancashire, by his wife Margaret. Based on her first husband's estimated date of first marriage (1415) and her husband's date of birth (October 1400), Margaret was probably born sometime in 1398-1402.
Margaret married, first, Sir Ralph Longford. As was customary for male heirs of property at the time, they were probably married when Ralph was 14, which would mean that they were probably married in late 1414 or in 1415. It is likely that Margaret was about 12-16 years old at the time.
Ralph and Margaret had the following children (and perhaps others):
Margaret's first husband, Sir Ralph Longford, died in February 1432 at the age of 31.
Margaret married, second, Seth Worsley, a lawyer. It is unknown whether Margaret and Seth had children.
Margaret died sometime after 1470, as there are records showing that she was still living in that year.
