Elizabeth (Rand) Sprague was born in Massachusetts.

Birth and Parents

Elizabeth, the third of seven children of Jonathan Rand (1753-1800) and Nancy Ann Moore (1761-1803) was born on 6 October 1787 at Boston, Massachusetts.

Marriage and Children

Elizabeth married Charles James Sprague I (1791-1875), the son of Samuel and Joanna (Thayer) Sprague on 8 May 1814 at Boston.^[1] They had at four children:

1. Charles James Sprague (b. ca. 1815; d. 26 Dec 1817, Boston, MA)
2. Helen Elizabeth Sprague (b. 1819; d. 30 Mar 1851, Boston, MA)^[2] m. 4 Jan 1844 at Boston, MA, Ezra Lincoln (1819-1863)
3. Charles James Sprague II (b. 1823; d. 5 Aug 1903, Boston, MA)^[3]m. 5 Jan 1847 at Boston, MA, Amelia Melverda Stoddar (1826-1880)

Death and Burial

Elizabeth (Rand) Sprague died on 30 April 1863 in her year at Boston.^[6]She is buried in Central Burying Ground at Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts.^[7]
