Biography
Samuel Rankin was born in 1806. He married Catharine Goodman. Samuel passed away in 1885. He is buried with his wife and other family at River Corner Mennonite Cemetery, Conestoga, Lancaster, Pennsylvania. [1]
In 1860, the Rankin family lived in Conestoga Township, Lancaster county, Pennsylvania. The household included Samuel Rankin, 53, a farmer with $4000 in real estate and $1000 in personal estate; his wife Catharine, 47; and seven children, aged 23-6 years of age. All members of the household were born in Pennsylvania. [2]
