Biography
Mary Adeline Ray was born on April 10, 1877, in Swords Creek, Virginia. She was the daughter of Shadrack Ray and Malinda Delilah Hubbard. She married Larkin Jerome Lawson on August 9, 1894 in Russell County, Virginia, and they had two children during their marriage. After they divorced, she then married Randolph Whited on April 18, 1899 in Russell County. They were farmers and had at least 10 children during their marriage. Mary died in 1952 in Mount Vernon, Ohio, at the age of 75, and was buried in Chesterville, Ohio.
