Biography

Hannah Read was born on 8 Oct. 1775 at Lisbon, New London County, Connecticut.[1][2]

She married Asa Appley, son of James Appley and Abigail (Williams) Appley, on 23 March 1797 at Canterbury, Windham Co., Connecticut. [3]

She and Asa appeared on the census of 23 Aug. 1850 at Hancock, Delaware County, New York.[4]

She died on 2 Feb. 1852 at Reads Creek, Hancock, Delaware County, New York,[3] at age 76 and was buried at Partridge Island Cemetery, Hancock, Delaware County, New York. Her memorial has links to those of her father and husband.[5]
